Electron Diffraction Study on Fe–Zn intermetallic Phase of a Galvannealed IF Steel Sheet

چکیده
In order to investigate the structure of Fe–Zn phase in a commercial galvannealed IF steel sheet, the electron diffraction and composition of phase in a commercial galvannealed IF steel sheet were studied by transmission electron microscope (TEM) and X-ray energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDX). The cross-sectional TEM specimen was prepared using focused ion beam (FIB) technique which was also introduced briefly. The results show that there exist superlattice reflections in the selected area diffraction patterns (SADPs) of phase which indicate that the phase is a kind of ordered intermetallic compound. The results of computer simulation of electron diffraction patterns based on the single crystals X-ray diffraction of previous researchers give a advice to the atomic coordinates of phase in a commercial galvannealed IF steel sheets.

Synthesis and characterization of the Fe - Zn intermetallic phases using the Rietveld Method
The Rietveld Method was used to investigate the structure of three Fe-Zn intermetallic phases and to quantify their proportion. The zeta, delta and gamma phases were successfully obtained by the sintering process. A simple mixture of the three intermetallic phases was made with a known mass percentage and the XRD pattern of this mixture was collected and analyzed by the Rietveld Method. A diffe...

The cold roll bonding of Al on AISI 304L stainless steel was carried out to fabricate the Al/304L/Al clad sheet composites. The maximum bond strength of 20 N/mm was acquired just by 38% reduction, for which the tearing of the aluminum sheet occurred during the peeling test. The microstructural evolution during subsequent postannealing heat treatment was systematically studied based on the impur...

Intermetallide phase formation was studied in a powdered Fe–Al system under layer by layer laser cladding with the aim of fabricating the gradient of properties by means of changing the Fe–Al concentration ratio in the powder mixture from layer to layer. The relationships between the laser cladding parameters and the intermetallic phase structures in the consecutively cladded layers were determ...

In this research the effects of; increasing the amount of nickel and adding aluminum to create and prolong sulfidation resistance of Fe-Ni-Cr alloys have been investigated. Sulfidation tests were carried out at 1100°C in S/O bearing atmosphere. Prior to the tests, the specimens were annealed in argon at 1250°C for 8 hrs. Weight changes were measured and corroded deposits were analyzed byscannin...
